Bradford Bulls became the first ever women's Super League champions after beating Featherstone Rovers 36-6 in Saturday's Grand Final.

Their dominant victory at the Manchester Regional Arena wrapped up a stunning season as they completed a league and cup double.

In the men's Super League Grand Final later on Saturday, Leeds beat Castleford 26-4.

It was a dazzling show from the Bradford ladies though with tries from captain Kirsty Moroney and Lois Forsell putting themselves firmly in the driving seat early on.

Georgia Roche hit back to give some hope for Rovers, only for Charlotte Booth to stretch the lead to 16-6 at the interval.

Bulls piled on the pressure in the second half and racked up the points thanks to Claire Garner, Amy Hardcastle, Charlene Henegan and Haylie Hields all going over the line.

Garner also impressed with her boot as she kicked fours goals for the Bulls.

Bradford's triumph ensured they maintained a 100 percent record in all competitions this season. They had already got their hands on the Challenge Cup.

Moroney said: "It's sloppy conditions so we didn't play how we've been playing all season but we still got the win.

"We set out to win some silverware but we didn't think in our wildest dreams we would go unbeaten."
