Warrington prop Ashton Sims has been handed a one-match suspension for punching Wigan stand-off George Williams.

Sims, cited by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel, submitted an early-guilty plea and will now lose his ever-present record in this season's Super League.

The incident occurred during Warrington's 17-6 win at the Halliwell Jones Stadium over the Warriors last Thursday.

The Fiji international, who has appeared in all 23 matches for the Wolves since joining them from North Queensland Cowboys in the winter, will be one of three players sidelined through suspension when Warrington go to Wakefield on Sunday.

Fellow front rower Anthony England has one game left to serve of a four-match ban for spitting and second rower Ben Currie will complete a two-match ban for pushing a referee.
