Roger Federer vs Marin Cilic live on Sky Sports

Roger Federer and Marin Cilic pose prior to Gentlemen's Singles final

Roger Federer makes a swift return to conclude the group phase of the ATP Finals against Marin Cilic.

You can watch Federer vs Cilic live from midday on Sky Sports Arena on Thursday.

Federer has already qualified from the Boris Becker group after winning both matches so far, but Cilic cannot make the knock-out phases after a pair of defeats.

The story so far

Victories over Jack Sock and Alexander Zverev are enough to qualify Federer at the ATP Finals, even before he plays Cilic.

Cilic's losses to those same opponents mean that even a win against Federer will not be enough to extend his week.

Federer, the world No 2, is the overwhelming favourite to lift the ATP Finals trophy after Rafael Nadal's withdrawal, which would add to an outstanding 2017 that has yielded the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

Cilic reached the final of last summer's Wimbledon so Thursday's meeting with Federer offers him a chance at retribution.
