Rising Czech star Denisa Allertova beat Sara Errani to set up a surprise final against Jelena Jankovic at the Guangzhou Open.

The world No 74 from Prague claimed her second high-profile scalp in succession as she followed up her straight-sets win over favourite Simona Halep with an equally comprehensive dismissal of the third seed.

The first set featured seven breaks of serve, Allertova with the crucial one to win it 7-5, and she breezed through the second set 6-2 to reach her first WTA Tour final.

Fourth seed Jankovic was tested by Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer but eventually prevailed 6-3 2-6 7-5 in two hours and 20 minutes.
