British No 2 Heather Watson has split from her coach Diego Veronelli after a two year partnership.

The 23-year-old, who won her second WTA title at the Hobart International earlier this year, appointed the Argentinian in December 2013 but they have now parted company.

It has been reported that Veronelli moved from Florida back to Buenos Aires earlier this year to be with his young family and he has now made the decision to go his own way after being unable to commit for long stints on the WTA tour.

Ranked 55 in the world, Watson was just two points away from beating world No 1 Serena Williams at Wimbledon this year and reached the last eight at the Hong Kong Open in October, losing out on a place in the semi-finals to Australia's Sam Stosur.
