Heather Watson is through to the semi-finals in Monterrey after securing a notable victory against former World No 1 Caroline Wozniacki.
Watson's fellow Brit, Johanna Konta, lost her last-eight match earlier in the day but Watson produced a fine display to beat the two-time US Open finalist 7-5 6-4.
It has a been a tough start to the year for Watson - she has dropped to number 84 in the world as a result - but she has been right back on track this week in Mexico and now has a semi-final against Caroline Garcia to look forward to.
Her clash with second seed Wozniacki went with serve for the first 10 games, but Watson then broke at a very opportune moment and went on to serve out the set.
She was broken for the first time herself at the start of the second set but responded immediately and then broke again, before completing a fine win in an hour and three-quarters.
Fifth seed Garcia is the highest-ranked player left in the tournament and advanced to face Watson after defeating her fellow Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier 7-5 6-2.
In the other semi, Konta's conqueror Kirsten Flipkens will take on Estonia's Anett Kontaveit.
