Former world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki battled through to the Hong Kong Open final on Saturday after beating defending champion Jelena Jankovic 6-3 6-4.
Wozniacki, currently ranked No 22 in the world, will face France's Kristina Mladenovic on Sunday.
"I'm looking forward to it, it's a new day tomorrow and I'm going to do my best," said Wozniacki.
"She [Jankovic] played really well today so I was really pleased with the way I managed to still win this match in two sets," Wozniacki said of Jankovic.
Serbian Jankovic, ranked 37, had a strong start but Wozniacki quickly took the lead in the middle of the first set before going on to win the match.
Jankovic, also a former world No 1, fought hard after falling four games behind in the second set but couldn't find a way back into the contest.
Elsewhere, Australian player Daria Gavrilova lost to Mladenovic 7-5 6-3.
Gavrilova was visibly upset, and threw her racket onto the ground in frustration during contested games in the second set, which was played in the heat of the afternoon sun.
"I think it was a big fight out there," said Mladenovic.
