Belgium's David Goffin has eased concerns over his knee injury, insisting it will not affect his performance in this weekend's Davis Cup final against France.

Goffin, 26, recorded wins against Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at the ATP Finals last week en route to the final where he fell to a three-set defeat against Grigor Dimitrov.

The world No 7, who has played 11 matches over the past month despite carrying a knee problem, says he will not have a problem representing Belgium as they attempt to win their first Davis Cup title.

"Because I'm a top 10 player people expect me to win my two singles matches," said Goffin, who has a 19-3 Davis Cup record in singles matches.

"My knee needs some rest following my runner-up spot at the Masters last Sunday, but for now it holds. I won't have any problem playing at 110 per cent over the whole weekend."

Belgium have twice been losing finalists in the Davis Cup, most recently in 2015 when Goffin himself was beaten in the deciding rubber by Great Britain's Andy Murray.

"It would be really nice to finish the year with the win," Goffin said.
