Croatia secured their place in the Davis Cup final with a 3-2 victory over the USA in Zadar.
Borna Coric was the man to seal Croatia's victory as he fought back from two sets to one down to defeat Frances Tiafoe 6-7 (0-7) 6-1 6-7 (11-13) 6-1 6-3 - a moment the 21-year-old described as the "most special in my life".
Croatia will now take on defending champions France in November's final, which will be hosted by the French.
Substitute Sam Querrey - who replaced Steve Johnson - had earlier given the US hope when he brought the overall score back to 2-2 with a surprise victory over Marin Cilic.
The world No 6 was beaten in four sets, and a frustrating match was compounded when he was handed a code violation by umpire Carlos Ramos for smashing his racket.
Ramos is the same umpire that was accused of being "sexist" by Serena Williams after he handed her a game penalty during her US Open final defeat earlier this month.
