Britain's Oliver Golding shocked top seed Jason Kubler to progress to the quarter-finals of the boys' singles at Wimbledon. The 16-year-old fought back from a set down to topple the Australian 4-6 6-3 7-5 to set up a meeting with Renzo Olivo in the last eight. Golding, who beat 14th seed Juan Sebastian Gomez to reach the third round, dropped the opening set to the world number one on Court 14. But the Londoner emerged with the lead after three consecutive breaks of serve in the second set and went on to level the match. Kubler had the advantage of serving first in the decider, but his opponent held his nerve in a tense set that lasted almost an hour. Golding gained a break point at 5-5 thanks to a fortunate net cord and then secured the decisive advantage after a Kubler error. The Brit then comfortably served out the match, dropping to his knees in celebration after converting match point.
