Four-time champion to play in Wimbledon warm-up event
Andy Roddick has confirmed he will be hunting for an historic fifth Queen's Club title at the AEGON Championships in June.
The American will look to become the first player to achieve the feat at the tournament, having tasted success there already in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007.
"Over the years I've had a lot of success at The Queen's Club, it has real tradition and I love the whole month in London," said Roddick, the former world number one and US Open champion.
"Queen's has the best grass courts in the world, they play perfectly and so the AEGON Championships is a great way to prepare for Wimbledon."
On song
The 28-year-old, a three-time Wimbledon finalist, will be up against the likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic at the AEGON Championships, which run from June 6-12.
Roddick lost at the third round stage in 2010 to Israeli Dudi Sela while suffering with Glandular Fever during the grass-court season.
But the Texan is back on song this season after winning the title in Memphis a fortnight ago and guiding the United States to victory over Chile in the first round of the Davis Cup World Group last weekend.
World number eight Roddick kicks off his Masters 1000 campaign this week in the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, which is live on
Sky Sports HD from Saturday.
