The 20-year-old Dane rallied from 4-2 down in the deciding set to record a 4-6 6-4 6-4 victory over her Belgian opponent in Charleston. Speaking after the match, a relieved Wozniacki said: "I knew that I was going to get one chance, and I had to take that." Third seed Jelena Jankovic set up an appetising last four showdown with the Dane with a routine 6-2 6-0 triumph over Christina McHale. Shuai Peng, seeded 11th, ended the run of qualifier Sania Mirza, but only after coming from behind as she won 2-6 6-2 6-2, but number 12 Julia Goerges is heading home after losing 2-6 6-2 6-2 to Elena Vesnina.
