Teenager becomes the new British No.2

Heather Watson has broken into the top-100 of the WTA world rankings for the first time in her career. The climb up the rankings comes after a stellar display at the French Open, where the 19-year-old from Guernsey won three qualifying matches at Roland Garros before knocking out Stephanie Foretz Gacon in the main draw. Watson was eventually toppled by Estonian 16th seed Kaia Kanepi but her run of form means Watson rises from 117th. The US Open girls' champion also moves above Anne Keothavong to become the new British number two as a result, with Elena Baltacha flying the flag at 74th in rankings.
