Final defeat at Queen's gives Frenchman hope
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga claims his run at the AEGON Championships has given him renewed hope heading into Wimbledon.
The Frenchman played some wonderful tennis at the Queen's Club as he brushed aside world No.1 Rafael Nadal before giving Andy Murray a scare in the final.
Murray eventually came out on top in three sets, but Tsonga was pleased with the way he is now playing heading to the All England Club.
"It's great to go into Wimbledon. I play well on this surface and I hope I will have a good tournament there," said Tsonga.
"I haven't really played well for the last three months. I need to play. Last year I didn't play enough and I need to play to improve my game and to feel confident and win some matches."
Incredible
Tsonga lost out to Murray in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon last year, with his season rapidly going downhill after he suffered a knee injury shortly after.
However Tsonga insists he can now put his injury hell behind him.
"I don't have any problems," added Tsonga. "I think that's the difference between now and a year ago. I can jump on the court, run and slide. I can do everything. So I'm ready.
"It's one of my favourite tournaments. The atmosphere at Wimbledon is just incredible and I like the tournament.
"I like the surface and the town, and I am also very happy in front of the British fans."
