Djokovic unconcerned over threat to number one ranking

Novak Djokovic claims he is not concerned by the possibility of losing his world No 1 status to Roger Federer, who would return to top spot if he wins a seventh Wimbledon title. The 25-year-old Serbian takes on Federer in the first of Friday's semi-finals, with the winner facing either Andy Murray or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Sunday's final. And Djokovic says he is just focusing on his match with Federer and not whether he will retain his position as the world's leading player. "When you're playing at this stage of a Grand Slam against one of your biggest rivals, there are a lot of things involved, a lot of things on the line," he said. "It's not the first time that I'm playing to win or lose a ranking and it's not something that I think about too much. I really just want to focus on the match." As for meeting Federer for the first time on grass, he added: "He has a variety, great variety, in his game. "He uses his serve very well. He opens up the court. He uses that slice really well to get the balls to bounce low. He's very aggressive at times. He can defend well. "He has a really smart game for this surface. But I have improved playing on grass in the last couple of years. I mean, I won the title here last year."
