Top seed Sara Errani has claimed the Italiacom Open title after a dominant victory over Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in Palermo. Errani took just an hour and a quarter to beat the eighth seeded Czech 6-1 6-3 and land her fourth title of a very successful year. The World No 9 has become the first Italian woman to win four tournaments in one season and she also reached the final at the French Open. And, in re-capturing the Italiacom Open title she last won in 2008, she dropped just 20 games in five matches. Errani only missed on one first serve in the entire opening set in the final and did not face a break point, while breaking twice herself. She was a lot less certain on serve in set two and was broken twice but Zahlavova Strycova continued to struggle greatly on serve and dropped serve four times as she slipped to an emphatic defeat.
