Second seed Jelena Jankovic breezed into the semi-finals of the Texas Open with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Sorana Cirstea. Jankovic won 79 percent of her first serve points, while her opponent committed seven double faults, to move into the last four, where she will meet qualifier Casey Dellaqua. The Australian defeated Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 6-4 6-4 in a match that lasted 67 minutes, to reach her first semi-final on the WTA tour. In the other side of the draw, third seed Roberta Vinci beat Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa 7-6 6-2 and will now face Bojana Jovanovski, who was leading 6-4 1-0 when China's Peng Shuai retired from their match. The Serbian benefited from Peng having to quit with a shoulder injury.
