James Ward is into the first round of the Malaysian Open after cruising through his final qualifier in Kuala Lumpur.
The British No 2 had no problem in brushing aside India's N Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-2 6-1, breaking his opponent six times.
And Ward will fancy his chances of advancing to the second round on Tuesday when he faces fellow qualifier Philipp Petzschner, with the German ranked 407 places below him in the world.
Pablo Cuevas, the No 5 seed from Uruguay, is already through to the second round after he saw off Jurgen Melzer 6-4 7-6 (7-1).
