World No 1 Serena Williams has confirmed she will play in January’s Hopman Cup in Perth alongside Jack Sock in the United States team.
The 33-year-old, who won the mixed-team event with James Blake in 2003 and with Mardy Fish in 2008, is looking forward to heading back to Western Australia for the tournament which takes place on January 4-10.
"It's been such a long time since I've been there. I've had a great time there and it's always been a great warm-up (for the Australian Open) for me," said Williams.
Andy Murray will partner Heather Watson for Great Britain in the round-robin event, with Nick Kyrgios and Casey Dellacqua teaming up for Australia, while Eugenie Bouchard and Vasek Pospisil will represent Canada.
Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini will play for Italy, and Radek Stepanek will team up with Lucie Safarova for the Czech Republic.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Alize Cornet will represent France and the top seeds will be aiming to win the tournament for the second straight year.
"I have a really good welcome from everyone at this event. The win last year with Alize was great," Tsonga said.
Representing Poland, who lost to France in the final earlier this year, will be Australian Open semi-finalist Agnieszka Radwanska and Jerzy Janowicz.
