Spaniard Rafael Nadal is recovering having undergone successful surgery on his appendix.
The 28-year-old announced last month he would miss the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London to have the operation.
Nadal posted a picture of himself in his hospital bed on his Facebook page with the message: "Everything went great. Thank you very much for your support. Big hug!"
The world No 3 had been managing appendicitis with antibiotics but decided to have surgery and miss the season finale at the O2 Arena.
Nadal has never won the event but has twice reached the final, losing to Roger Federer in 2010 and Novak Djokovic last year.
