Brit Andy Murray has been named as the fourth seed for the US Open at Flushing Meadows in New York.

British star seeded behind Djokovic, Nadal and Federer

Andy Murray has been named as the fourth seed for the US Open which starts on Monday. Organisers have stuck with the ATP world rankings for their seeding list, meaning Murray, a winner of the Cincinnati Masters at the weekend, is at number four. World nuumber one Novak Djokovic tops the list with defending champion Rafael Nadal second. Roger Federer is at three. Murray, runner-up in New York in 2008, cannot now meet any of the top three until the semi-finals at the earliest.
