Argentinian wants to win Grand Slam title in 2008.

David Nalbandian hopes his flying finish to 2007 can catapult him towards Grand Slam success in 2008. Argentinian Nalbandian started the year slowly but slowly gathered momentum and finished in the world's top ten with a good finish to his campaign. Victory in both the Madrid and Paris Masters helped to bolster his reputation, not least because he defeated the almost unbeatable Roger Federer in both tournaments. The 25-year-old has made just one Grand Slam final, being beaten by Lleyton Hewitt at Wimbledon in 2002, but he believes 2008 could be his year. Nalbandian is confident his game is coming to a peak, son confident in fact that he also wants to win and Olympic gold medal and taste Davis Cup glory. "I want to win a Grand Slam title, the Davis Cup and the gold medal in the Olympic Games," Nalbandian told www.fuebuena.com.ar. "The Grand Slam is a personal satisfaction, while winning the Davis Cup or the Olympics means entering Argentina's history books. "I want to go on winning, to enter tennis history and improve on what I have done."
