Ferrer falls to super Mario

David Ferrer, the fifth seed, saw his hopes go up in smoke as he was ousted 3-1 by big-serving Croat Mario Ancic on Centre Court. The Spaniard simply couldn't get near the Ancic serve in the first two sets, losing both 6-4, but won a tie-break in the third to keep his hopes alive. Ancic, who now plays Spaniard Fernando Verdasco, said: "I was looking forward to playing on Centre Court. "That was my dream. I'm so, so happy I'm back again.''
