Gael Monfils is likely to play for France in the Davis Cup semi-final tie with Argentina after returning to normal training. The 24-year-old, who reached the last eight at the US Open, suffered a fitness scare when he twisted his left ankle on Monday. It was feared he may miss the hard-court contest in Lyon this weekend but France captain Guy Forget said he was reassured after Monfils was able to slide as normal on Tuesday. The French team will also feature Richard Gasquet, Michael Llodra and Gilles Simon. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Julien Benneteau will miss the clash through injury. Arnaud Clement has been called into the side as a replacement but is only expected to play in the doubles on Saturday with Llodra.
