Spaniard stuns Starace in Casablanca

Pablo Andujar claimed his maiden ATP Tour title with a straight-sets victory over Potito Starace in the final of the Grand Prix Hassan II tournament in Morocco. The unseeded Spaniard completed a dream week on the clay courts in Casablanca, which had already seen him oust top seed Albert Montanes, with a dominant 6-1 6-2 win. Andujar had lost his previous two encounters with the fifth-seeded Starace but was always in control before sealing his success with an overhead smash after one hour and 14 minutes. The 25-year-old's breakthrough title is also likely to see him move up to his highest-ever ranking. He is currently placed the 69th in the world - two places behind his best mark.
