Striker Tyrone Barnett has left Shrewsbury after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old joined the Shrews in January 2015 but spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow Sky Bet League One side Southend.

He managed eight goals in 39 league appearances at New Meadow.

A statement on Shrewsbury's website said: "We would like to thank Ty for his hard work and dedication during his time at the club and wish him well for the future."
