Celtic are understood to be close to signing Belgium goalkeeper Logan Bailly from Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

In a statement on their website, the Belgian club confirmed they had agreed a fee for the 29-year-old, who has been at the club since 2012 after spells at Borussia Moenchengladbach and Genk.

Bailly is expected to arrive in Glasgow this week for a  medical ann should the deal go through he would become Ronny Deila's third signing of the summer after Dedryck Boyata and Saidy Janko.

The Belgium international, who has represented his country at various youth levels, won the last of his eight international caps in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Austria in 2010.

He would be expected to provide cover for first choice goalkeeper Craig Gordon following Lukasz Zaluska's departure last month.
