Liverpool Ladies swoop for England defender Alex Greenwood

Liverpool Ladies have completed the signing of highly sought-after England international Alex Greenwood from Notts County Ladies

The 22-year-old left-back, who began her career at Everton, was part of the England squad that finished third at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

On joining Liverpool Ladies, Greenwood said: "This is a fantastic move for me and I am really enthusiastic about the new season. This move also offers me with an opportunity to return home to Liverpool so I am delighted that the move has finally been completed.

"I had a great year at Notts County but this represents an exciting, new challenge and one that I am really looking forward to."
