Lacina Traore joins CSKA Moscow on a season-long loan from Monaco

CSKA Moscow have confirmed the arrival of Lacina Traore on a season-long loan from Monaco.

The 25-year-old, nicknamed the "Gentle Giant" because of his two-metre frame, scored 10 goals in 27 matches for Monaco last season.

The Russian champions confirmed the news on Wednesday with the striker's last loan spell away from Ligue 1 coming in 2014 with Everton in the Premier League. 

"I'm really happy to become a CSKA player," Traore told CSKA Moscow's official website.

"It's one of the best Russian clubs. I have already played in this league and saw that CSKA set the tone here.

"Hopefully our cooperation will be fruitful."
