Ziggy Gordon has left Partick Thistle to join Polish league leaders Jagiellonia Bialystok on a free transfer.

The Ekstraklasa side have confirmed the signing of the former Hamilton full-back on a six-month contract with an option to extend it for a further three years.

Gordon, who has a Polish mother, said: "It's been a huge 48 hours for me and now signed for Jagiellonia. Huge thanks to all at Partick Thistle especially the fans who were amazing."

Gordon began his career with Accies, making his first-team debut aged 17, before joining Thistle last summer but he failed to become a regular under Alan Archibald, making only 13 appearances.

Thistle signed defender Niall Keown from Reading on Tuesday.
