Bury have signed goalkeeper Joe Murphy on loan from Huddersfield until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old agreed a two-year deal, with a further year option in Huddersfield's favour, to become their first summer signing ahead of the 2014-15 Championship campaign.

Dublin-born Murphy has represented the Republic of Ireland twice and goes straight into the Bury squad for the weekend game at Shrewsbury Town.
