Borussia Dortmund have announced they will sign Omer Toprak from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
The Bundesliga club say they are "prepared to meet the release clause" in the player's contract and the centre-back will sign a four-year deal.
Toprak - a 27-year-old Turkey international - was considered by Arsenal last summer before they signed Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.
"Toprak is a strong defender with international experience and great leadership qualities," Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc said.
Toprak has made 181 Bundesliga appearances between Freiburg and current club Leverkusen, scoring five goals.
He has made 182 appearances for Leverkusen in all competitions, including the Champions League, and has 25 caps for Turkey.
