Hearts sign Angola midfielder Joaquim Adao in loan deal from Sion

Hearts have signed Angola international Joaquim Adao on loan, subject to international clearance.

Adao makes the move to Tynecastle from Swiss side Sion on a deal until the end of the season.

A defensive midfielder, Adao progressed through the ranks at Sion and has played 60 times for the club, including in European competition.

The 25-year-old was part of the Sion side that reached the Swiss Cup Final last season, where they lost 3-0 to Basel.

Born in Switzerland but capped for Angola, Adao has played 11 times for the national side.
