Brighton left-back Markus Suttner will join Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan until the end of the season.

The Austrian, who joined Brighton ahead of their first season in the Premier League in 2017, has undergone a medical with the German club and is expected to complete the move in the next 24 hours.

Suttner has not made an appearance in the Premier League this season for Chris Hughton's side.

The 31-year-old has experience of playing in Germany, having played for two seasons at Ingolstadt between 2015 and 2017.
