Ziggler overcame Wyatt, John Cena, AJ Styles, Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin on last week's show to earn a title match with Ambrose at SummerSlam, live on Sky Sports Box Office on August 21.

But The Show-Off, a two-time World Heavyweight champion, put his spot on the line on Tuesday night as he aimed to prove he belonged in a showpiece match at one of WWE's biggest events.

Ziggler proceeded to defeat Wyatt with a Superkick, though his celebrations were cut short when he and Ambrose were attacked by Wyatt and Erick Rowan at the end of the show.

Brock Lesnar, meanwhile, gained revenge for Randy Orton's assault on him on Monday Night Raw by laying out The Viper with an F5 while he went one-on-one with Fandango.

Two further SummerSlam matches were set on Smackdown, with John Cena accepting AJ Styles' challenge, and Crews edging Corbin and Kalisto to earn a shot at Intercontinental Champion, The Miz.

Heath Slater was informed that he would be granted a Smackdown contract - but only if he managed to knock off ring veteran Rhyno on next week's edition of the blue brand.
