Brock Lesnar made an impactful return to WWE Raw – by attacking Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns.
The Beast Incarnate had not been seen on WWE television since his crushing 86-second defeat to Goldberg at Survivor Series in November.
But he made his presence felt on Monday night by battering three members of the Raw roster, just under two weeks before he competes in the annual 30-man Royal Rumble Match.
Zayn started the scuffle by attacking Braun Strowman from behind, giving Lesnar the opportunity to suplex the Canadian, Rollins and Reigns.
The Anomaly finished his onslaught by nailing Reigns with an F5 after the ex-Shield man had been distracted by Universal Champion Kevin Owens.
Strowman, who opted not to clash with Lesnar, later secured victory for himself, Owens and Chris Jericho over Zayn, Rollins and Reigns in the main event when he blasted Zayn with a running powerslam.
Carnage ensued after their match, though, with a mass brawl leading to Owens thundering Reigns – the man he will defend his title against at the Rumble – through the announce desk.
Elsewhere, Cesaro and Sheamus – the newest additions into the Royal Rumble Match – successfully defended their Raw Tag Team Titles following a clash with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
The Europeans lost the bout via disqualification after a seething Sheamus attacked the referee, ensuring a Magic Killer and pinfall on Cesaro by the challengers came in vain.
Big E kept his spot in the Rumble after downing Titus O’Neil, while Enzo Amore and Big Cass teamed up to defeat Rusev and Jinder Mahal.
In cruiserweight action, Ariya Daivari submitted Lince Dorado, and Cedric Alexander beat The Brian Kendrick with a Lumbar Check following help from his on-off girlfriend Alicia Fox.
However, Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann was ambushed by his Royal Rumble rival Neville before he could lock horns with Tony Nese.
Plus, Bayley responded to Charlotte mocking her childhood essays about wanting to become a WWE Superstar by reciting poems to the reigning Raw Women’s Champion.
The gist? That Bayley will dethrone Charlotte at the Royal Rumble.
