    Verdict

Carol Bartley teamed up with Haymarket to win last year’s renewal and the latter has to come into the reckoning while Thorntoun Care has a shout partnered by a leading amateur. But DUKE OF YORKSHIRE won an amateurs’ race by over four lengths under Emily Easterby at Haydock last time and is taken to shrug off a 6lb rise in his current forrn. Archipeligo is another to consider but it was soft ground when Golconda Prince won at Doncaster in March.
