Apex could hardly have been an easier winner when successful over course and distance last week and he is taken to defy the 6lb penalty and score at the main expense of Border Edge and Seneschal. The last mentioned was good value for his win at Chepstow earlier this month but this looks tougher off his 4lb higher mark. Voice Mail is capable of taking a hand but is not certain to appreciate the drop back in trip, while Wrighty Almighty was well held on his return and looks best watched at present. Alexian is another that would probably want further to show his best form and of more interest may be Border Edge, who showed decent form on the all-weather during the winter but has not been seen since November. Apex has solid claims on recent form though and a reproduction of his last time out effort should suffice.
