Verdict

SALEROSA is worth a shot in a race of this nature. Wiseman's Diamond and Royal Fantasy are others capable of going close, while Emperor's Well represents connections that always merit consideration at this level (or any other for that matter.) Emperor's Well responds kindly for today's pilot and, having gone close last time out, he arrives here in good terms. This course holds no fears and the Mick Easterby-trained gelding is a lively candidate to at least make the frame. Royal Fantasy has dropped to a very attractive mark and posted an encouraging effort in defeat at Redcar last week. He was denied a clear run on that occasion and may have got closer to the winner had the gaps opened in time. This track will play to his strengths, though, and he is likely to be just getting going when a few of the others have had enough. Wiseman's Diamond has been in great heart and has the added factor of being the mount of Simon Walker. The gelding acts on any type of ground and cannot be confidently ruled out today. However, Salerosa has a live chance on these terms and this consistent filly appeals as the one to be on. Ann Duffield's charge is much better off with the likes of Silly Gilly from the last time they met at this level and, as Salerosa is a previous course and distance winner, she is taken to relish this return to Beverley.
