Verdict

A lowly, but competitive opener, with marginal preference being for NIGHT AFFAIR, ahead of Rocket Rob and Amosite. It's one of those races though that whoever wins wouldn't come as a surprise. Night Affair is the least exposed of these, with this just her fourth run. A winner on debut over six furlongs, we're taking on trust she'll hand the surface having previously raced exclusively on the Polytrack. Narrowly beaten last time out in a similar contest, for which she's only been raised a pound, she's got further improvement to come, and looks capable of emulating a number of close relatives who've been decent sprinters. Rocket Rob has a few pounds in hand, and drops down in trip and grade after finding top weight status too much last time out, but he knows how to win at this level. Amosite is one from 15 and that was back in April. Most recently she was third here in a better race; expect her to be at the vanguard from the off and try and blast away her rivals. Leadenhall Lass has ability, as shown when winning on debut, but has disappointed of late, so first time headgear may bring an improvement. We'll side with current form though, and from an in-form stable, we'll support Night Affair.
