Verdict

AL RAZI looks the one to be on to get off to a debut success, while Pytheas and Could It Be Magic can also go well. Godolphin are having a great time of things with their two-year-olds and the American-bred colt cost 175,000 guineas and comes from some very talented stock. This trip looks an ideal starting point and with none of those experience appearing to be too frightening we will side with the newcomer. Pytheas put in a good debut at Redcar but was all at sea last time and has a bit to prove. However, it would not do to dismiss a Mark Johnston-trained runner after one blip and we give him plenty of respect. Could It Be Magic showed improvement for his first run when getting involved at Ffos Las last time out and with natural improvement likely again he can take home some more money, though he'd be hard pressed to win if the selection is fully wound up. Spying is related to sprinting winners as juveniles and so perhaps he has not been showing much in the way of toe to be starting over this trip, though market confidence would be interesting, while Storm Command would not have to be anything special to make his presence felt. Al Razi should be good enough here.
