Verdict

GALA SUNDAY has the perfect draw here and although he will have to work for it, he is taken to continue his partnership with Serena Brotherton in fruitful fashion, while Rossini's Dancer and Whipma Whopma Gate can go well. The Mick Easterby-trained selection loves it around here and went close from a 2lb lower mark last time out. A sound surface suits and he can take the shortest route to success, provided there are no traffic issues. Rossini's Dancer ran on well over slightly shorter at Hamilton last time and prefers the going to be good or slower, so he will be okay today. His dam's side of the pedigree suggests that this longer trip will be a boon and he can get heavily involved. Whipma Whopma Gate will love the good ground and has been knocking on the door off slightly lower marks. She stays this trip well and is respected. Hurricane Thomas represents a good yard and looks capable of getting competitive, but may not have the toe to finish well enough, while Bright Sparky is not dimissed from the same yard as our selection Gala Sunday.
