Tarkheena Prince is selected ahead of Might Be Magic and Shannersburg. The selection fell out of the stalls at Redcar before running on eye-catchingly into third. Alan Swinbank's juveniles have tended to improve dramatically for a first run and this should be no exception. Might Be Magic has to be respected as an inmate of the Peter Chapple-Hyam stable. He is bred to get a trip although holds no fancy entries. Shannersburg seemed to appreciate the step up in trip at Catterick. He could have taken the nursery route but connections come here instead. Cobo Bay could be interesting if the money arrives at trackside. Mark Johnston has won the last two renewals of this race so Keenes Day, who is an impeccably bred son of Daylami, is worth more than just a cursory glance in the market. Relinquished stays the trip but she has disappointed her backers on a number of occasions. She sets the benchmark from the assessor's perspective. Tarkheena Prince should be capable of building upon a first outing and is accordingly selected.
