    Verdict

Humourous, Yachvili and Withington are the three to concentrate on here and it's McCoy's mount that may have the last laugh. The selection faces a fairly stiff task on the bare face of the form as he was beaten a length and a half by Final Veto who then went on to finish 10 lengths behind Humourous on his next outing. However, Final Veto never appeared to be travelling last time and never jumped with any fluency so it may be dangerous to take the form literally. Yachvili has run a sound race since then and appears to be progressing at a modest rate. Humourous won well last time but that was his first win in twenty three attempts and he may have been flattered by the result. Of more interest is the former pointer Withington who made a winning Rules debut in a chase at Hereford over three miles two. He wears a tongue tie for the first time this afternoon and should win more races but he may have to play second fiddle to Yachvili on this occasion.
