Verdict

Kevin Ryan could be forgiven for having half an eye on the big race up at Ayr though he'd be disappointed if GEORGE ROOKE wasn't up to taking this at the second time of asking. The Rock Of Gibraltar colt wasn't helped by the errant path of the winner during his debut run at Thirsk and there was daylight back to the remainder so compensation awaits. Khelman has previously campaigned in stronger maidens than this in the past and it's a surprise to see him sticking to 6f having stayed on well at Haydock. Rust gave the impression that his debut experience at Newcastle won't have been lost on him, while Sakhees Romance ran encouragingly on her first start and Noel Wilson's filly is worth a watch in the market as she is a half-sister to a winning sprinter.
