      Verdict

      Bordoni has decent claims as he's the highest rated and went close to following up his maiden win when runner-up at Kempton a fortnight ago. However, ED DE GAS scored at Wolverhampton on his recent handicap debut and Rae Guest's colt is fancied to find further improvement here to keep his unbeaten record intact. Naseem Alyasmeen scored in soft ground at Nottingham on Saturday and is looking to extend Mick Channon's incredible record in this contest of five wins in the last six renewals, although he has no easy task on today's terms, while Southwell winner Pelican Rock is another up against it at the weights unless the testing ground levels things out. Actor is easily ignored having shown nothing so far.
