In depth

Verdict

Carlini carries 6lb extra for winning over today’s trip at Windsor and debuts on the all-weather. Lady Alavesa had been thereabouts over a mile before disappointing over 1m2f last time while DANZAY came good over the latter trip at Goodwood last week. Mark Johnston’s charge made every yard to land an apprentice race and should go close again back over a mile as he escapes a penalty. Geetanjali and Kendergarten Kop have won over 7f this year while both Courtside and World Breaker are worth a second glance handicapping for the first time.
