Verdict

FOUNDATION has been a big disappointment this year but drops into Listed company for the first time since winning by three lengths at Haydock a year ago. Even on his placed efforts in the Craven Stakes and the Dante at the start of the season, John Gosden's three-year-old is the one to beat in this. Mountain Bell hasn't raced since finishing third in the Oaks Trial at Lingfield back in May but Yorkidding was third in a Listed race in Germany last week and is back in form. Desert Encounter has done well in handicaps this year and deserves a crack at this higher level.
