      Verdict

Plenty of guesswork needed as to which one of these will bounce back to form. Both Stormin Tom and Ravenous won races last month but soft ground is a worry for that pair while Captain Courageous steps up from 1m2f and Project Bluebook hasn’t won on the Flat since 2016. Night Of Glory has won off a higher mark on the all-weather but never threatened here back in May while Suegioo’s success at Pontefract in June is his only win since landing the Chester Cup in 2014. Paul Hanagan could have presumably ridden Suegioo but partners BAYDAR today and the latter gets the vote having tumbled down the weights since notching-up a four-timer in 2016.
