Redcar winner Misty Birnam and MICKEY were both due to run here yesterday. The latter would have every chance if taking part having finished in front of third-placed Penwortham when runner-up here last month and gets a tentative vote. Both Viscount Loftus and Redgrave won lower grade races over today’s trip last week and have been raised 6lb and 2lb respectively while Vive La Difference has won twice over a mile at Hamilton this year though is 6lb higher than his latest success. Mr Top Hat is usually thereabouts and will handle the soft ground.
